Classic, traditional house in the Old graphic Venetian port of Chania. Located in a narrow side street of Theotokopoulou.
The Helena hotel is a two-storey building which fully maintains the architectural style of the Turkish and thereafter Cretan periods.<br> Hotel Helena is located in Chania’s Old Town, overlooking the Cretan Sea and the Venetian port. It offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi. The closest beach is at 500 metres.

No breakfeast is provided, but that is absolutely no issue, since you are free to get what you want in many good places nearby. One of the 3 evenings I spent there (a monday evening I think) one bar nearby made it just a bit noisy, although that did keep me from sleeping. The proximity of the harbour brought otherwise no inconvenience at all. Location is great, convenient (for places to eat or the bus station, about 10-15 mins away) and very atmostpheric. We wanted to stay by the harbor and the reviews were good, and the price very decent. In order to reach the hotel we had to walk through many narrow streets but it wasn't too much of a hassle as everybody in this city is really helpful! We arrived there and were greeted by the owner, who helped us get our bags to the bedroom on the second floor (no elevator). The room and the bathroom are small but clean, which was enough for a short stay. The view on the harbor is beautiful, yet we remained away from the noise. This hotel provides basic amenities, but is ideally located in the old streets with a view to the harbor, the atmosphere is really familial and the price is very affordable.
